SKOTT B. BURKLAND — graduated from Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, where he majored in Political Science. He did postgraduate work in Business Administration and Finance at Rutgers University and Drexel University.

He was a Vice President with Wilkinson, Sedwick & Yelverton, a prominent West Coast executive search firm prior to founding Skott/Edwards Consultants in 1974.

He had been Vice President of Personnel for the United States Consumer Division of the Singer Company and also served the company as Worldwide Director of Recruiting. In addition, he was a Personnel Officer with the Operating Group of Citibank in New York City, and a Manager of Recruiting for W.R. Grace & Co., in New York City.

 Skott has been a Member of the Board of Directors of the AESC and the Management Committee of Penrhyn International.

A founder of the firm, Skott serves as the President of Skott/Edwards Consultants.  The New Career Makers, authored by John Sibbald, lists him as one of the top 100 Executive Recruiters in the United States and Nancy Garrison-Jenn included him in her book The Global 200 Executive Recruiters -- An Essential Guide to the Best Recruiters in the United States, Europe, Asia and Latin America.
